As it is blowing a gale and trying to snow outside I thought I would post my thoughts on GW last night. I like the Monty/Alys combo, I think they work well together. They have different approaches and attitudes which is interesting.
I was though a little disappointed at Carol’s visit to Great Dixter. This is a fantasic garden and they had trailered that Carol was going to visit somwhere special but then hardly showed anything. It would have been nice to have seen more of the garden, even with the conversation between Carol and Fergus over the top. It is normal to see photos of Dixter at its peak in the summer but it would have been nice to see the long border and other areas as they are in March. I think the programme missed a trick here – less on garden centres and more on Dixter.
I think I heard Monty say that they were going to start doing hour long programmes but I may have been fantasing!!!!
