I would like to thank VP for awarding me an Arte y Pico award. She did this some days ago and I have been very tardy in thanking her – I have no excuse really apart from the sun was shining so I was gardening! Anyway there are some rules that go with accepting the award
Here’s the 5 rules bit for this award:
1. Choose 5 blogs you consider deserving of this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and contribution to the blogging community, regardless of the language.
2. Each award should have the name of the author and a link to his/her blog to be visited by everyone.
3. Each award winner should show the award and put the name and link to the blog that presented him/her with the award.
4. The award winner and the one who has given the award should show the Arte y Pico blog so everyone will know the origin of this award. Translated, it means “the peak of art.”

1. Shirl at Shirls Gardenwatch - I share her love of watching the wildlife in my garden
2. Barbee at Barbeesblog - I really enjoy reading her posts
3. LetsPlant at A Yard in Fort Pierce - I enjoy reading about his volunteering exploits and the plants he grows are just so different to what I grow here in the UK
4. Blotanical - I know this isnt a blog but I do think this community has contributed alot to gardening blogs and I know I have met lots of interesting people through it.
5. Amy at High and Dry - who despite a horrid accident which has left her struggling to get around she has still posted on a regular basis. I hope she starts to feel better soon

I hope you don’t mind, but I recently decided not to accept awards or memes anymore. I get pretty stressed worrying about who to nominate and how to set it all up. Then, I don’t end up doing my part and passing it on and feel guilty about it. I’ve been planning to put up a note on my blog but didn’t get around to it yet – I’d better do it soon! I really, really to appreciate you thinking of me though. Thanks so much!

I can’t do anything about this for this for the moment – I’m busy packing for hols and furiously trying to dry last minute washing! I will look at this when I get back. I haven’t got my GBBD post up either – could be a wordless Wednesday tie-in if I have time.
I hope to share lots of wildlife footage from outside my garden that you may be interested in too! We are planning a visit to Penthorpe where Springwatch was hosted this year. I can’t wait – oh yes and I am planning revisiting Beth Chatto’s garden too
