About Helen Johnstone

I live in Malvern, Worcestershire and am a very keen gardener. I started the Patient Gardener Blog in January 2008 as a way of recording what was happening in my garden and connecting with other like-minded people. I started a second blog PatientGardener 365 January 2013 in order to try and post a photo a day to capture what is growing in my garden or places I have visited

Very pretty Helen. I really should invest in a good camera that takes sharp close ups

  2. Gorgeous, I love the faint green blush at the centre and the overall simplicity of the flower.

  3. Zoe says:

I do love hellebores – love the vivid stamens on this one.

Great picture. My own Hellebores are just opening out now too; it’s so nice to see some life in the garden and some colour.

  5. easygardener says:

I can never grow them even though I have no trouble with other Hellebores. They are very attractive though – so perhaps I should try again.
