About Helen Johnstone

I live in Malvern, Worcestershire and am a very keen gardener. I started the Patient Gardener Blog in January 2008 as a way of recording what was happening in my garden and connecting with other like-minded people. I started a second blog PatientGardener 365 January 2013 in order to try and post a photo a day to capture what is growing in my garden or places I have visited

  1. Helen you are a woman of many talents…I have tried sewing on several occasions throughout my life but it is a lost cause…I can’t sew a straight line to save my life and I rip out more stitches than I sew….sewing is not relaxing but frustrating…but I love to see the talents of others and what they create…looks cute!

      Hi Donna
I used to do lots of sewing before I had the boys, made my own clothes etc but its been a while. I made the original goose 20 odd years ago and this time I am making a new set of clothes for her so it colour cco-ordinates my Mum’s room better!

What are you going to call the duck?

Goose has been around for 20 odd years – my Mum calls her Goosey Lucy not very original

  3. That looks like fun! I just finished crocheting a shawl for my mother. It is something I really enjoy while watching some television.

That’s going to be really cute. I’ve been sewing myself this week, I ran up a pair of pyjama trousers.

    How very cute!
    Have a blessed day!

Boy do I remember that goose for more than 2 decades. What are you planning to make? Hope it turns out well. Sewing can be a relaxing hobby sometimes when you have the extra time. Don’t worry about being wordless today; bloggers experience writer’s block every now and then!
