About Helen Johnstone
I live in Malvern, Worcestershire and am a very keen gardener. I started the Patient Gardener Blog in January 2008 as a way of recording what was happening in my garden and connecting with other like-minded people. I started a second blog PatientGardener 365 January 2013 in order to try and post a photo a day to capture what is growing in my garden or places I have visited

Almost prawn cocktails, very retro
Fuchshialiscious!
I have loved fuschias since I was a little girl – when our neighbour a keen gardener who sold veg etc from her acre garden started teaching me about plants. She had quite a few fuschias and I have always thought of them as being ballerinas! I only have about ten at the moment but in once garden I had about 100 in pots around a swimming pool and when I swam I could look up at them as them hung over looking at me!
What a lovely way to display fuchsias – I assume it was a display from one of the specialists?
how lovely !
Lovely! Not sure it’s good that I was faintly disappointed when I realised they *weren’t* cocktails….
There’s a cocktail hour that won’t leave you fuzzy headed in the AM!!! All those blooms & glasses make a gorgeous display. Your close up was lovely too.
