About Me
I started this blog in 2008 to record how my garden developed, it quickly became a gardening journal and I have loved it every since. I am passionate about horticultre despite working in higher education administration. However now, 2013, I want to re-engage with my early hobbies of sewing, knitting and crochet so this blog will start to have a wider range of entries that aren't all garden related.
I love reading your comments and I do hope you enjoy the blog.

Nice photo – I have a new rhubarb ready to plant as soon as the ground allows. It’s beginning to peep out of the compost now, so I’m hoping I get to plant it soon!
Thanks for your comment over at mine – I’m sure my mind’s going to go pouff by next Wednesday and I don’t envy Roy Lancaster and his the team the task they’ve undertaken. Can you imagine the arguments they’ve had?! I’ve updated the blog post to say I don’t mind if you or anyone else can’t make their mind up – the idea is for us to have a bit of fun whilst the weather continues to be cold and gloomy. I’m also happy for you to post or comment on another day if you’d like your Wednesday to continue to be Wordless
Helen I bet as soon as the snow melts I will see mine growing…can’t wait!
Mine’s not through yet! I wonder why? Christina
Rhubarb has started growing here in Devon, thoughts of lovely puds flit into my mind when I see them growing!
I am in zone 8 here in Seattle in the US. Our weather is not to unsimilar to yours. Spring has started and buds breaking. The rhubarb has come up through the ground, but has not yet started to leaf, maybe another five days. Thank you for sharing.
Our rhubarb has just started to poke through as well but I can’t decide whether to try forcing it or not. Yours looks lovely lovely!
