About Helen Johnstone

I live in Malvern, Worcestershire and am a very keen gardener. I started the Patient Gardener Blog in January 2008 as a way of recording what was happening in my garden and connecting with other like-minded people. I started a second blog PatientGardener 365 January 2013 in order to try and post a photo a day to capture what is growing in my garden or places I have visited

Gosh – some of these pictures made me feel like a very small fish in a very large sea. How about you?

      Hi Cathy
Yes I know what you mean. My hotel room was on the 28th floor which felt a little high at first but I soon got used to it

  7. Desert Dweller says:

Next US trip, I would be well-served to tour with UK and other nations’ visitors, so I miss less! Great images; I also felt small in some of those grand scenes.

  8. Yvonne Ryan says:

My eldest daughter in US at moment – started in San Fran, then Tahoe (house exchange the house they were in had 3 jacuzzies! then over to the east Hamptons etc. They are registered on a house exchange site hers is a big modern barn like home on Omaha golf course 5min walk to beach. Seems a good way to see different places around the globe. My B&B hosts do that also. What a buzz for you! My daughters trip is more a cycling around foodie places and watching US Open Golf. (She is NOT a gardener)

Cherry (my hostess) and I went to the Clivia meeting and saw and learnt heaps from Dr Keith Hammett.
