Yes, now is their time, they are fabulous! I have been out photographing mine this morning and they are the best they have ever been, thanks to all the rain last summer, forming all the flowers buds.

Beautiful images. I have never seen a bluish rhododendron–it’s amazing. The soft freshness of the pink one too.

  3. Yes, indeed! Like Susie, I have never seen a blue rhododendron. I’d love to know the name when it’s not Wordless Wednesday.

Hi Susie and MHM – I think its an azalea not a rhodo. It was a sort of purpley blue but I dont know the name as it was in the garden I visited. I have to say it kind of jarred in the settings as it was the only one that colour.

  4. I see I am not the only one to be astonished by the blue.

The middle one would really jump out at you from the sea of pinks and reds, but all very lovely – and it’s the quantity of blooms that seem to be making them particularly stunning this year
