How pretty. Is it thomasianus? It was lovely to see all the little species crocus opening up in the sunshine. No chance of that today I am afraid.

      Hi Liz
I have no idea which it is, it has been growing in the garden from before I took notice of plant names!!
Hopefully we will all get some more sun soon

  5. Cathy says:

She looks as if she is throwing her petal wide with joy at that sunshine!

    1. Cathy says:

That should have said petals …!

  6. Such a wonderful treat for a cold, gray, winter day…A great way to start a Wednesday.

By the way Helen,I’ve just had 10..yes 10 weird e-mails from Rusty Duck, needless to say I deleted without opening. Wanted to let her know that I think her security has been compromised…but contact won’t work.

    1. Helen Johnstone says:

Will try telling her on twitter. She has had problems with her website this week

  9. Yvonne Ryan says:

Had my first summer crocus out – white with a yellow centre. Don’t know what they are called. Have in a pot, long narrow leaves, seems to multiply quite well. Mostly see them in gardens here in the north.About 3″ tall, not tiny.
