  1. Yes, I recognise that sky – it’s just like the one I see outside the window!

    1. Helen Johnstone says:

      Hi Rachel
Seems like May is going to be grey

    2. Oh, I don’t know – I had a lovely sunny drive home this evening!

  2. Chloris says:

We are surrounded by the stuff at the moment. Every year they grow more and more round here. It is awful for allergy sufferers.
After such a wonderful April this the sort of sky that greets us each day lately. Did you get the high winds yesterday?

    1. Helen Johnstone says:

      Hi Chloris
Yes we had periods of strong winds, hopefully it will settle down soon though

It’s the most vibrant yellow and can be seen for miles around. Certainly eye catching against that grey sky. Are those the Malvern hills in the background?

    1. Helen Johnstone says:

      Hi Karen

I dont think they are the Malverns, I was out and about in Herefordshire near the Welsh border (a little bit lost!) so they might be the Black Mountains or just some very nice large hills

  4. Sarah says:

Love the colours in this photo: that acid yellow and grey is such a good combination and often seen in nature. I buy rapeseed oil over olive oil nowadays. I really like it and it makes delicious dressings.

  5. Helene says:

Lovely colour, but my hay fever does not like this 🙂

  6. Yvone Ryan says:

Does that mean wisteria and montana rubens clematis is out also? These were out last time I was Kent 20 years ago – beautiful colours!!! Plus the bonus was they drove on the left hand side of the road and the were hills! Npt just flat Belguim!

  7. Cathy says:

There didn’t seem as much last year but it is very prevalent this year and for the first time you can smell it from our garden! I read recently that it may act like ‘junk food’ for bees… 😦

  8. The perfect kind of day! What a lovely photograph.
