A New Toy

I have treated myself to a new propagator this time one that is thermostatically controlled. I have a heated tray which I use to help with germination in the greenhouse but I want to try some more exotic plants so I have splashed out on a Premium Propagator from Stewart.

Now to splash out on some seeds……

  1. Sounds fab. I guess ‘premium’ means that it’s got a thermostatic temperature control that can be set for 27-29c? That make such a wonderful difference to ‘exotic’ seed. I’ve enjoyed several & various Stewart propagate over the years. I hope it comes with one of the once standard sturdy versus floppy covers for which they used to sell replacements ….

      Hi Kate
It has a temperature gauge of 12-28C and a soil probe, all very exciting! And a rigid lid

    2. Sounds great, thanks for the extra info, very useful – I must replace one this year.

Have fun experimenting…I wonder what exotic seeds you will try first?

  7. I’ve got one this big, but without the Thermostat, its fair to say its revolutionised my germination rates.
