    I didn’t realize melianthus looks so good even in winter. That’s a beautiful leaf.

      I think it comes into its own in the UK in the winter if you delay cutting back. Occasionally it also flowers which is an added bonus. I dont cut mine back for about another month

    Melianthus has become one of my favorite plants. So sculptural! I’m on the hunt for the cultivar ‘Purple Haze’, which seems to be one reclusive plant.

    Oh would that the foliage on mine was looking so fresh. Is yours planted in a particularly sheltered spot Helen?

      Hi Anna
      No that one is in the middle of the garden. I have to confess that it was hortizontal for a while due to snow and also my poor gardening but I have now propped it up and it’s looking good
